Exam's finally over and I can enjoy myself now!

I went to YMS on friday, 9 may to attend a concert performed by the string family- violins, viola, cello, guitar, as well as a mix of other instruments- piano and drums.

I was warmly welcomed by SMU Obligato- where the Victoria Junior College Strings, Seno Aji, Chester Kang,Wei Yi Ming,Mac's Music School,Lester Kong,Quan Yin,Tanya,Phuong,Godwin and Si Kai hace committed precious time and effort into performing a repertoire of master piece in Nella Notte.

This group of performers has impressed me greatly. Through the pleasant music, it has inspired me to learn violin again.

At times, I can feel the agony and wrath of the composer, but afterwhich he gained courage n recovered the strength to endeavour the hopelessness.

However, there are also cheerful songs - the cheeky tune with a tinge of mischief, but cute and fun.

A memorable n popular song - Hedwig's Theme from Harry Potter, was beautifully played by Lester Kong, Lois Teo, Chen Xiao Qing, as well as Tow Hui Wen.

Lester Kong is a renowned violinist who has set up 'The Amateur String Ensemble'. He is a great conductor and teacher who has nurtured batches of young talents into skillful performers, in their various areas of expertise.

I would definately regret if I missed this opportunity to listen to such marvellous music- something which musicians relate their thoughts and feelings through.

It is amazing how music can bring ppl closer, how it can the attitude of a person towards his work, and how it can develop a person's ability to focus and relish himself simultaneously.

I am very pleased to have been invited to attend this glorious concert- a tantalising music of the night. Thank you, quan yin!
