hey guys.. know what? I've had a performance yesterday night.
It was a marvellous one. Though it wasn't that perfect in singing.
don't understand why ppl want to rush through the song.
Sis came along with her friends to watch the performance.
i'm very happy already.. nah.. its becoz its like supporting me,
so she came to watch me sing. the feeling la.
haiz.. many things happening recently..
family affairs, sch matters..(i don't dare say out)
and all the rehersals i've got
that performance involves quite a number of people
the malay and modern dance, drama club, band and of coz choir.
we had to change to a few outfits.
the first one which are the choir tee n sch skirt
for ' Breaking Up is Hard to do' n 'Whole New World'
'Breaking Up is Hard to do' is a fun song
which requires dance steps
we practised this song most frequently
followed by 'Seasons of Love'
ooohh..
it made me think of the past..
SaD. =( sobs sobs..
The entire thing was about the relationship between parents and childen
about stories in modern Singapore.
there were 3 stories.
one was kah yong as a spoilt brad,he was always lonely,
though it seems he was always happy, with wan teng as his grandma
he throws tantrums every now and then, hurting his grandma..
nadira as zarinah,wanting to share her everyday life matters
but her mother neglects her n only bothers about work
shana as laura, a girl who feels like a caged bird
her father, the director of this performance, Mr Yeo,
is a little abusive n over-protective.
she wants to prove she is capable of taking care of herself..
-End of Synopsis-
Sad thing is, Mr Sim is firing Mr Yap, the band conductor
Many band members cried..
they've trained hard throughout the few years together
n now they are going to be seperated.. i feel sympathetic too..
Mr Yap is a kind person.. why sack him?
anyway, we reached the rented lecture theatre at about 1.50 pm in the afternoon.
the band had a hard time setting up the place.
i mean to put the instruments n stands.
we had a full rond only at circa 3.40 pm.
tat was late. time seems to fly. we barely had 2 full runs.
the second one was stopped when we had only somewat a quarter run?
it was already 7.10pm by then.
we quickly changed into the costumes n put on make-up.
we had dinner at 5.40pm. it was an early one. but everyone was so hungry
they grab their food n quickly sat down to eat
we had to reach sch at 1 pm sharp mah.
tats why i think most had little luch or didn't have time to even have a bite
the meal consists of 2 drumsticks-lor bah like tat
some korh leh cai n chilli beancurd
they shouldn't give us spicy stuff lor
coz will affect our singing a lot one
then hilary stil don't care.
don't know why she adore spicy stuff so much,
even when it will affect her singing
then kelly say coz she wants to be hot. yucks lor
she herslf agree. haiz. even evelyn tan say she change a lot
though i brought foundation,eye-shadow,n blusher.
all except the eye shadow was used.
the eye shadow couln't be seen much
i borrowed the lip stick from hilary.. hers was a shiny one
i liked it. erm.. i felt very nervous, excited..
since it was the first time i had such a grand performance
with approximately 600 spectaters. i kept 'messing around' with my hair
i wanted to look good on stage. i was in the first row!
everyone couldn't keep still, n made a lot of noise.
we sang song n talked to try to keep calm
i even hugged lydia, angelin, evelyn.
shook hands too
the seniors reminded us repeatedly tat we need to smile,
enjoy ourselves, n DON'T RUSH!
we got to the scene. i could see old, young, parents, n sch mates.
a few video cameras taking.
IT media in action.technicians, light managers.very important.
though they were always forgotton. haha.
we kept rushing back to the holding room to change for the next outfit. as little time was given. the toilet was so small nobody wanted to go there
so everyone just changed right at the room
boys n girls. who cares! no time for this la!
haha. you just couldn't imagine the scene. but at that point tof time, who cares?
so glad i was there to perform. ms tan was there to support us too.
she knew tat about three quarter the class have a role to play in the show.
i got emotional when i saw mr yeo n other characters acting as though it was a real situation.
so touched. plus the background music played by band.
but when it was our turn to sing, i was like shouting, sometimes. especially when we sang 'When You Believe'. the background music was blasting off. i couln't hear properly wat the choir was singing. haha.
when i first went out, i saw old ppl.. i mean senior citizens watching us perform
and quite a number of peirceans.. ms tan, mrs ong.. n others
mr phua acted as the auditorium teacher for choir.. so funny
hahas. i will not forget how he looks like n sounds like..erm..
don't know wad to write..
we were very tired after the entire thing.. quite jubilant though
our seniors praised us for doing a good job.. mr nasim also
went home with celine n her parents.. it was a nice one. talked throughout the walk
but we were hot n sweaty. yucks! first thing was to bathe.. then say a lot of things.
complained i was starving.. coz i had little lunch n dinner
so i had a ma ti su so nice to eat! i mean coz fresh mah..
